Jyoti Parashuram Talawar

Jyoti Parashuram Talawar was born in Bagalkot on 27 November 2011, the first child of her parents. Their joy quickly turned into fear when she developed generalized sepsis soon after birth, spending 25 days in the NICU. Though she recovered, new challenges emerged: her mouth opening gradually reduced until she could no longer open it at all. Breathing became difficult, and her facial asymmetry worsened, leaving her parents — living on a modest income of Rs. 5,000 per month — overwhelmed and uncertain.

At an RBSK screening camp, doctors explained the severity of her condition and referred her to Inga Health Foundation (IHF) for urgent, free treatment. Jyoti underwent two complex surgeries: distraction osteogenesis to improve her airway, followed by TMJ release to restore her ability to open her mouth. Both procedures, funded entirely by Gufic Biosciences Ltd., were successful.

Today, Jyoti eats comfortably, breathes freely, and smiles without hesitation. For her parents, the transformation brings immense relief and gratitude. She continues her follow-up with IHF, moving steadily toward a healthier, more hopeful future.
