Nabiha Tariq

Born on September 9, 2023, in the Kashmir valley, little Nabiha Tariq is the treasured first child of her parents. Her father earns a modest daily wage, and her mother is a homemaker devoted to raising her daughter. Soon after birth, the family learned that Nabiha had a rare condition—brachycephaly caused by bilateral coronal craniosynostosis, in which the skull bones fuse too early and alter head growth. The visible difference filled her parents with worry about her health, development, and acceptance in society.

Despite seeking guidance locally, they found no affordable solution. At Inga Health Foundation, they were assured that advanced corrective surgery would be provided at zero cost through the generosity of donors. That assurance gave the family courage to travel to Bengaluru and begin the required evaluations. The procedure was completed successfully in September 2024, and Nabiha is recovering well. Today she feeds comfortably and meets early milestones.

Her treatment was generously supported by Doshi Smiles – Changing Lives Foundation, for which the family remains deeply grateful.
