On 15 March 2025, Sultan and Manju Gurjar welcomed their newborn child with joy that quickly turned into concern on discovering a cleft lip. What should have been a celebratory time became filled with uncertainty about their child’s future, appearance, and acceptance in society.

During this difficult period, the family was guided to a partner hospital through Inga Health Foundation. They received clear counselling about the condition and were reassured that effective treatment was available. Most importantly, they were informed that the entire process would be supported at no cost, easing a significant financial and emotional burden.

Thanks to support from our donor Rajratan, the child underwent cleft lip repair, which was completed successfully. Following surgery, the child’s appearance improved and recovery progressed well.

The change has been immediate and meaningful. Everyday care has become easier, and the family has moved from uncertainty to a more hopeful and stable path forward.
