Arhan from Bandipora was born with a complete bilateral cleft lip, making feeding difficult and placing constant stress on his family. His father, a daily-wage labourer, sought help from multiple hospitals but was unable to afford the cost of surgery, leaving the family uncertain about their child’s future.

A turning point came when he learned about free cleft care services provided by IHF through an online video. Encouraged by this, he reached out and brought Arhan for evaluation. The family was counselled, reassured, and guided through the treatment process, with the assurance that the surgery would be provided at no cost.

With the support of Sachin Tendulkar Foundation, Arhan underwent successful cleft lip repair. Following surgery, his feeding improved and his overall comfort increased significantly. Today, Arhan is recovering well and progressing steadily. This timely intervention not only restored a critical function but also brought relief, dignity, and renewed confidence to his family.
