Kuram Karthikeya

Born on December 16, 2024, Kuram Karthikeya entered the world with a cleft lip and palate, leaving his parents deeply concerned about his ability to feed and grow. In the early months, feeding was difficult and required constant care, adding to the family’s anxiety.

At seven months of age, he was evaluated and scheduled for his first corrective procedure. With the support of Doshi Smiles–Changing Lives Foundation, he underwent primary palatoplasty at KIMS ICON Hospital. The surgery focused on repairing the soft palate and was completed successfully.

Following the procedure, Karthikeya showed steady improvement. Feeding became easier, nutritional intake improved, and his overall growth began to stabilise. His parents noticed visible changes in his comfort and development, which brought them significant relief.

Today, he is progressing well and meeting early milestones with greater ease. This timely intervention not only improved a critical function but also gave his family confidence and reassurance about his future.
