Professor Dr. Shakeel is a pioneer of Cleft and Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery in Jammu & Kashmir and has been leading the Srinagar Cleft Centre at the Inga Health Foundation since 2015. With advanced training in India and abroad, he has performed more than 6,000 free surgeries, transforming the lives of children and families across the region.

Beyond the operating room, he is dedicated to education and awareness. He has organized international conferences, trained young surgeons, and launched a fellowship program to strengthen cleft care in Kashmir. Honoured with the Best Oral Surgeon Award (2015) and recognized internationally by Operation Smile, Dr. Shakeel continues to serve with compassion, precision, and a commitment to making world-class cleft care accessible to all.
