An overview of the past eleven years

The INGA Health Journey

2006 - 2007

INGA Health Foundation registered as a trust.

2007 - 2008

Started centres in Mangalore, Srinagar and Surat.

2008 - 2009

Started Bhubaneswar and Mumbai centres; conducted workshop in Bhubaneswar; started centres in Vizag, Patna and Agra.

2009 - 2010

Conducted workshops in Srinagar, Vizag and Ahmedabad.

2010 - 2011

Hosted conference on craniofacial anomalies in Mangalore; conducted first meeting of the newlyformed Medical Advisory Board in Chennai; held annual Board meeting in Bangalore.

2011 - 2012

Opened second office in Bangalore; launched Project First Smile by the VRT 77 in Vizag; assisted German Cleft Children’s Aid Society with a centre in Bangalore; commenced an international training programme; engaged Ushdev International Limited to adopt Mumbai centre; held first joint meeting with international partner organisations in Hanoi; conducted workshop and annual meet in Patna; held biannual Board meeting in Patna; visited by a German business delegation and Dr.Wolfgang Schuster (Lord Mayor, Stuttgart) to mark the 2,000th operation in Ahmedabad; sponsored Indocleftcon 2012 event in Bangalore; launched cleft prevention programme in Vizag.

2012 - 2013

Launched speech and functional therapy project; got the German Cleft Children’s Aid Society to adopt a centre in Coorg; inaugurated a training institute in Bangalore; reopened head office in Bangalore; opened Noida centre; completed 7,500 surgeries; set up a centre in Bangalore; separated from German Cleft Children’s Aid Society.

2013 – 2014

Completed first craniofacial surgery funded by Being Human Foundation.

2014 – 2015

Ushdev International commenced funding of cleft surgeries; 25 craniofacial surgery completed; HDFC funded craniofacial operations.

2015 – 2016

Successfully initiated a partnership with Operation Smile USA, One of the largest NGO’s in Facial Deformities. Through this partnership IHF is expected to gain significant insight into large mission programmes, The strength of OS

2016 – 2017

A formal tie-up with “Department of Health & Family Welfare – Government of Karnataka” led to a MOU between IHF & RBSK. This has ensured that patients from all districts of Karnataka with Craniofacial deformities are identified & referred to the Bangalore centre. Successfully done a medical mission in West Bengal in partnership with Operation Smile.

2017 – 2018

Oracle commenced funding of cleft, maxillofacial and craniofacial surgeries; successfully done four medical missions and a total of 575 surgeries done through the said missions in West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh

2018 – 2019

Started Durgapur centre in partnership with Operation Smile USA, A total of five missions were done in West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and 558 surgeries done through the missions.

2019 – 2020

A total of five missions were done in Karnataka, Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and 633 surgeries done through the missions.

2020 – 2021

Covid-19 support activities in Mumbai, Durgapur & Patna – Distribution of food supplies to 1727 families. Distribution of food supplies to community kitchen managed by various organisations who distributed prepared food packets & distribution of food supplies to 3050 families, 500 Police/ BMC personnel, 400 Doctors & nurses and to 250 migrant workers, distribution of snacks to 300 Doctors, distribution of 2500 Doctors care program immunity kits and distribution of 600 face masks and 415 sanitizers

2021 – 2022

Started two spoke centers in Siliguri and Hazaribagh in partnership with Operation Smile USA, One medical mission was done in Vijayawada and 68 surgeries were performed through the mission. Sachin Tendulkar Foundation and corporates like HDFC ERGO, Divgicommenced funding of cleft, maxillofacial and craniofacial surgeries. Covid-19Support activities – Distributed food supplies & 100 oxygen concentrators.
